Rene Jules Lalique
His precise, and lively shapes inspire my work, when admiring his jewelry work the use of his complex glass enamel colors helps keep his work luxurious yet intertwined with nature. The expressive movement of the organic growing and slithering from bugs, animals, and plants.
Born in Paris France in 1860 and worked there for the majority of his life. At the age of twelve he joined the college tugot and took classes during the night at Ecole des arts décoratifs, then moved to London Crystal Palace School of Art and apprenticed under/with louis aucoc then moved back to France.
